Data toolbar regex filter code#
Just give you an idea around the logic, here is the code block which does this part. The fix was to get around this by using "Original Message.eml" as the filename when the “Group attachments in folders" option is set to "Save all attachments in folders groupedīy e-mail subject" and the option “Save original e-mail?” is set to “Yes” under incoming email settings for the document library. To fix this problem released the hotfix 959644. They were very responsive.Į-mail messages with subjects that are in excess of 124 characters are dropped when grouped by subject”. This is from Microsoft in response to my case with them (it turns out to be a problem that they fixed and thus causing another problem.) thanks to them for their help though.
Data toolbar regex filter how to#
In addition, ONE of the six field filters displays only one choice for each choice in the field! So it's not even consistent.Īny confirmation that this is a bug, or any tips on how to fix it? Is there a bug that prevents the Filter from consolidating all the data into one representative item for each Choice? This is how it works in the list itself, and is what you'd assume would happen. Selecting any of the Choice1 options will display all the rows for Choice1, so it "works" but you can imagine that this isn't optimal. In the DVWP toolbar, the Filter for Field A will show Choice1 12 times, Choice2 15 times, and Choice3 10 times. The list will then have 12 rows with Choice1, 15 rows with Choice2, and 10 rows with Choice3. So, for example, in the list Field A will have a Choice field with Choice1, Choice2, Choice2. The drop-downs for the Filter functions will usually display all instances of data for that field, even if the original list field is a Choice field.

It works, but there's a quirk that I'd really like to clear up. The department this belongs to really likes the addition of the DVWP toolbar with the sort/group/filter options.

There's nothing complicated about it - the only reason for using the DVWP is to apply Conditional Formatting to list columns to provide a visual scorecard. I've successfully created a web part page with a Data View Web Part that pulls data from a single list. We're on WSS 3.0 and I use SharePoint Designer for customization.
